Conlcusion

The Xabre400 definitely holds a lot of potential and could really make it big in the low end and budget conscious market. Thanks to its more advanced feature set, it certainly does appear to be a better option than the GeForce4 MX series. The Xabre400's competitor should be the GeForce3 Ti 200 but the problem with the GeForce3 Ti 200 is that production has already stopped and what's left are only the GeForce4 MX series. The GeForce4 MX can outperform the Xabre400 by using brute force but once the advanced features come into play, the Xabre400 would end up being a better option because of the technology it houses.

The only thing that could hold back the sales of the Xabre400 chips is the trust of the people. It has been engraved in the mind of people that SiS products aren't really top notch or would sometimes have all sorts of problems here and there; well everyone has their own share of problems. In the Xabre400 though, there were no out of this world problems encountered and the previously noted problems in the early reviews/previews of the Xabre400 have more of less been solved thanks to driver updates. It might take a while before the minds of people are opened to other options other than NVIDIA products but ATi and SiS are certainly working hard and bring in competition again to the graphics market. For the price, the Xabre400 is a very good buy offering advanced technology and very good performance.
